Access control for multiple target groups at a single event

Access control by audience group means managing different access rights within a single event, where each attendee group receives its own e-ticket and badge, and the group they belong to is immediately visible when the ticket is scanned.
Your event does not only welcome invited guests. There are speakers arriving early, staff members who are present throughout the day, press with their own schedules and sometimes private programme sessions. Without clear distinction at the entrance, things can quickly become unstructured. Since 1997, Activo has been managing access control for events with multiple audience groups and parallel sessions.
Why differentiation starts at the entrance
Each audience group receives its own e-ticket with a unique QR code. When scanned, the attendee's name and group appear immediately on the screen, allowing the hostess to provide the correct badge. This is handled through on-site event access control and takes only a few seconds per person.
The distinction is not created on the event day itself, but during registration. In the registration process, you determine which questions are asked per audience group, which programme elements are visible and what type of access applies.
The badge as a visible structure
A badge is more than just a name tag. Colours, design and lanyards immediately show who belongs where: which visitor has access to a private session, who can enter the speakers' lounge and who is part of the organisation. See e-tickets, badges and lanyards for the possibilities.

This reduces questions at the entrance and means you no longer have to personally oversee every detail. Activo provides these solutions for organisations such as Rijkswaterstaat, ASML and the Dutch Judiciary.

Registration that adapts to each audience group
In the event registration system, you manage registrations, cancellations, audience-specific questions, dietary requirements and exports. If the attendee list changes up until the day before the event, you can update it without losing the distinction between groups.
Communication also follows the audience group. Speakers receive different practical information than invited guests, and the final-call email with the e-ticket is tailored accordingly. This ensures everyone receives only the information relevant to them.
Live overview per audience group
Every scan is registered, so during arrival you can see not only how many people have entered, but also which groups are still on their way. If you use an Event App with e-ticket, attendees can find their own programme and practical information in one place. Attendee data is processed with careful attention to GDPR requirements.
